“very good tequila...so my taste buds tell me...I enjoyed something very agave forward. Sergio has mastered this craft. nose...cooked agave, citrus, some raw agave and pepper, some subtle honey notes and grassy undertones. palate, peppery with cooked agave and citrus with floral attributes, must be the highlands agave creating a sweeter sugar from the root stresses trying to seek water in the clay like soil. finish lingers with a sweet cooked agave flavor and sits for awhile until you want more. good value for $42. I like trying different flavors, yet my favorites tend to be heavy agave in the front, and I love tequilas that have that malactic funk going on. from what I am understanding, apart from the yeast and fermentation process, a lot of of that flavor lies in the lowland valley agave. message me with some recommendations. ”

“Had put this one off for awhile...had the Mezquila...not so impressed, but that was in my early stages of sophistication of the palate...LOL...Anyway, more info led me to grab it...since every time I go to the store....it's El Tesoro or Ocho....just needed to give something else a try. I was pleased. Has a nice aroma if agave....trying to discern whether cooked or raw or both...peppery with light floral notes...maybe nutty or seedy...if you can imagine. on the palate it has the same presence of agave with some very light, dare I say sweet essence, followed by a peppery burn. the finish is alright....light lingering, but not like an agave bomb that lasts and lasts and lasts. Still...a decent libation that I will purchase again. would like to try the repo and give the mezquila another go. ”

“this has a nice nose and pleasant flavor. not as agave forward as I like and has a bite of alcohol sweetness to it. not sure if it is the type of yeast (champagne) dancing to the music, but others that I have tried that have similar production methods are not as sweet. I do believe it to be pure, but still it made me raise an eyebrow. it does make a delicious old fashioned. may try it in a marg and see what I get.”

“very nice, crisp blanco. It has a subtle noise, as you really need to get into it. It could definitely change, since this is the first pop of the cork (synthetic).aThe flavor is decent with notes of sweet cooked agave, pepper, citrus, a nice minerality that presents itself as earthy and robust. the finish is still hanging on minutes later, with that bite of alcohol and citrus and now raw agave. This is a good buy...under $30 for a Liter. UPDATE: on my recent tastings of this brand, Im finding a strange flavor profile that consists of a somewhat rubber-type flavor. not sure how I feel about it...probably a type of malactic origin, which I really love, except this is a little harsher and bolder in that sense. I did drop my rating slightly. I would choose something different, but hey....thats the game....all different distillation styles and different flavors. ”

“This is an amazing find. I've listened and read reviews, so I ordered it from California....Im in FLA. I order 3 different brands and this was the first that I tasted. OMG!!! I really was amazed at hot delicious this is. On my second taste, 2 days later, THE SAME! I was excited to taste it again and the result was just as pleasing. Nose is great agave and pepper, with citrus, plum. Palate is agave forward, citrus, pepper, clove, and something I can't quite determine. Has a smooth palate, although I don't like using the term smooth. Has a "Crack" that is pleasantly up front with a slight honey finish. Additive Free! Nothing there that I fear. I am a huge fan now and will ALWAYS purchase this. Great sipper...and I'm sure will make a GREAT cocktail. ”

“I appreciate this reposado. I was looking forward to it for a long time. I think my anticipation got the best of me, as it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Im not saying it is not good. it is a decent repo. I do love the barrel notes of vanilla and caramel and toast. I do not believe it to anything added. I did not get much of a forward note of agave, which I REALLY LOVE. I would like to try the blanco. I truly love the flavor of agave and want a repo and anejo that keeps that flavor profile. my next glass was a Suerte repo old fashioned, which a solid hit! loved it. I may buy this again, but I think I will buy the blanco.”

“Delicious. Has a nice earthy aroma and taste. Peppery on the palate that lingers with some citrus, grass, and some floral notes. Mouth feel is buttery with a punchy bite...if that makes sense. Would probably make a really nice cocktail...although I sip it neat. I thought about experimenting and smoking some of it with cherry wood. Well, I ran out....of the Lalo, not the cherry wood. Cheers, Salud everyone. ”

“Sergio and Oscar...Thank you!! Agave on the nose, peppery and floral, buttery, grassy and earthy...I could sniff this all night, but I won't. Gonna sip it! Oh yeah, fantastic! yes, buttery mouth feel, peppery at 42%. has that wonderful cooked agave, slight floral/fruit, vegetal, oakiness. Flavors hang on and linger in your mouth. slight pucker, then after a few minutes in between sips, a sweet flavor sits on your tongue, hanging there. Man, this is terrific! High altitude 7,118 ft agave...fully mature. Mozart method...those yeast dudes love their classical music....along with open air fermentation. Love this!”

“Been wanting to try this for some time. Finally got it. legs and tears beautifully strolling down the wall of the glass. The nose....sweet cooked agave...earthiness, soft and somewhat floral. Now for the sip...OMG!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!!! This is amazing! Very complex. sweet floral agave. pepper, honeyish, maybe a malactic flavor...I don't know. I'm not the expert...I just know what I like. I really like this. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Buttery mouthful. wine, caramel....again complex....I love it. very delicious and the nose is still so giving as I go into the glass again. the flavor is lingering on my palate. thank you Chef John Des Rosiers for keeping a vigilant eye on a beautiful product. stone ovens, tahona, wood, copper! water, agave, yeast!!! Can't ask OR WANT anything more!!!”

“Got this as a BOGO at Publix (Fla grocer). Not a bad tequila. not very complex. notes are there, but you have to dig for them. Apparently, the blanco rests in stainless stills for a couple of months...mellows it out, but still has a slight oak detection. I love agave over anything, so I think I I'm enjoying the blanco over the repo right now. I love reposado because of the barrel influence and complexity, but I think Im enjoying this more at the moment. Ya know....it's all subjective and our palate is as well. Decent tequila...not my fave...but it will work....especially as a BOGO!! Anybody else come across BOGO tequila anywhere? ”

“I had already ordered the Reposado after hearing Todd talk about the creation and process. Very pleased, so I ordered the blanco. This is a fantastic tequila. I really enjoy this. I love the earthiness and aromas of the cooked agave. I sense a little smoke or maybe a barrel essence, but I don't believe the blanco is rested for any short time...I think it's straight in. I could be wrong. In any event, it's freaking delicious. I have yet to put it i. a cocktail....just sipping is awesome! Ya know...I haven't yet tried La Gritona....although it is ON MY LIST...sorry Melly B. However, she is a terrific master distiller and to house a production of all women....Something pretty sweet about that!!! Salud.”
