“Good value Nose, agave, alcohol, grass Palate, easy sipper, no heat, lots of natural sweetness Finish, not my favorite, maybe it’s an anise? ”

Cascahuín Tequila Blanco - 11 Brix
“Possibly the best nose I’ve ever sampled. Perfect. On the palate, it’s delicious but I find the higher proof takes over, and I’m a HP fan. The notes are almost muddled together. Obviously the Cascahuín agave note, then the alcohol shades the sweetness/citrus/pepper/earthiness. I may need to revisit Finish is so amazing, lingering tingle”

Nose, great agave and desirable funk Taste, a quick hit of an almost spearmint note on the first sip, and agave followed by agave, perfect touch of pepper centered on the back of the tongue. Great mouthfeel and tingle. Finish, agave sits, light numbing No burn at any step, impossible to have just one glass”

Calle 23 Criollo
“I was fortunate to pick this up at little mark up so it does get value points. Nose: very nice, agave, floral, zest Palate: Wow, the balance of “dark” earthiness, pepper and brightness of citrus rind, mint, floral notes is well done! Finish: I wish it would last days, but it is medium long and just right. What a great sipper, it is fun to drink if that makes sense ”

Don Fulano Blanco Fuerte (100 proof)
“Nose is great, a mix of floral, funk, butter. An odd group that just works well together. On the palate it drinks more like a 110 proof, can’t tell if that’s good or bad. Great mouthfeel, coating and numbing.”

Cascahuín Plata 48%
“What a great nose! Raw and cooked agave, floral, citrus, earthy, fantastic On the palate, much of the nose comes through, adding pepper and minerals, balancing with a sweetness Finish initially has a touch of heat, the great cinnamon tingle, ends with an odd sweetness Great high proof”

Volcan de Mi Tierra Blanco
“Excellent value Nose, once you let it breathe you can get past the medicinal/alcohol notes. While still there, the lime and mint join the notes. The palate, to me, was much different than the nose. Pepper greats you right away, maybe the perfect amount of pepper. The lime jumps in and out. A clean medicinal note and mouthfeel, in a good way. The finish is nice, sweetness comes in, pepper remains. It tells you to pour another Overall, this punches above its weight class, it will change your mind about notes typically associated with bad processes. I almost want this in a high proof to see where the limit is. Almost.”

“La Canada Lots of agave on the nose, brine, mineral The taste is very nice, agave, a mild pepper that seems to transfer to cinnamon, a sweetness I can’t pinpoint but is really good Finish is also great, pepper and that sweetness Another great Ocho product ”
